The Oklahoma Coordinated Democratic Campaign in 2002 engaged the services of CR+S to provide phone identification to target areas of Oklahoma to build up support, identify areas of follow-up work and energize the Democratic base for the 2002 statewide elections.
Among the statewide candidates who were assisted with this program was incumbent Attorney General Drew Edmonson. In 2002, Edmondson was challenged by Denise Bode, an up-and-coming Republican star and a statewide office holder.
Our services provided the Edmondson campaign with the tactical strategy they needed to roll up a huge victory on Election night in Oklahoma. After all the ballots were counted, Edmondson was the strongest Democratic vote-getter and thoroughly trounced Bode's campaign. In this race, he earned 615,932 votes to Bode's 408,833 votes, and won with 60.1 percent of the vote.
Our services for the Oklahoma Coordinated Democratic Campaign helped seven Democrats win elections to the 8 statewide constitutional offices in Oklahoma and pick up seats in both the State Senate and State House of Representatives.
